La Fogata
Last night I decided we needed to make better use of our not-so-big backyard by making a firepit in the backyard with bricks that fell off of our roof from the chimney. I made a circle with what bricks there were and got some firewood from our neighborhood 7-11 (yes, they're more than just slurpees).
Our landlord recently trimmed some of the trees in our yard leaving a nice pile of kindling which made quick work of getting the bigger wood burning. I laid the wood in a log cabin formation for optimal heat and we were chatting with our upstairs neighbors, Bret and Mican, in no time.
We quickly realized that we were lacking hot dogs, marshmallows, starbursts, or anything else worth cooking on an open fire. We decided that we're going to make the backyard bonfire a regular event and have remedied our hot dog shortage. We also plan to dig the pit deeper so as to keep from setting any of our neighbor's lawns ablaze.

Um..starbursts? Oooh! Y'all should stick the provolera/cheese melty thingy in it, that would totally work. And is it worrisome at all that your chimney is dropping bricks into your yard? But great firepit!
I'm with Fiona on the great fire pit and what do you do with starbursts? And 7-11 has more than slurpees? (okay now I totally want a slurpee)
yeah, our chimney kinda collapsed after a really windy winter storm, and bricks started falling off the roof. They were falling really close to our neighbors truck, actually. When we called our landlord, they just said it was too dangerous to go up on the roof and do anything about it at the time...and then we kept seeing other people working on their roofs, which made us wonder...but they finally came and all they did was gather all the loose bricks off the roof, so we still have a broken down chimney up there...
What a lovely Fire! and nice shooting...paintballing would be fun, I've never been but I'd love to start, as long as Tara's on my team.
