Visit to Texas

Teresa and I were in Texas for the past two weeks! It was slightly last minute, but we realized if we didn't go when Erin and Fiona were visiting it would be a super long time until we got to see them again. So we hopped on a plane so T could spend some time with her cousins. Tressa loved all the attention and people to play with. She REALLY loved being able to go outside most of the day. It was so much less humid, and she had an actual yard with shade to play in that she loved. And lots of kitties to chase after and pull the fur off of.
Here are some pictures from our trip! I didn't bring a camera, so these are just the ones I was able to get off my parents camera.

Playing in the water at Cibolo with Bran, Nuala, and Auntie Fiona. T loved that it was so shallow, and the shade made it nice and cool. She didn't even start eating the rocks until right at the end!

Working on some bike riding skills

Aoife and T in a box. The first time T saw me holding Aoife she came over and tried to shove herself in between us, so she was on my lap instead. It was pretty funny, but she was eventually decided she didn't mind me holding the other babies.

T was being super cute with Aoife, she kept going up and holding her hand and touching her bow. Of course, she would take off as soon as the cameras came out, but we finally managed to get a few good ones. (She was cute with Maeve, too, but we didn't get any pics of them together. Well, Fiona might have, but I didn't...anyway, she would give her kisses occasionally when we asked, and one time just walked over to her and gave her a hug. So cute.)

Rob and Erin rented a boat and we all went out on Lake Travis one Saturday. Super fun, but exhausting. T hated her life vest. Right after this picture was taken she fell over backwards, it was pretty amusing for the rest of us. The life vest made her hate the boat, too, but she loved playing in the water.

With all the Mellors and Smiths.

She loves her fruit, she especially loves chomping away at a mango seed. She's pretty good at picking it clean too!

I just think she looks so big in this picture!

We got back late last night, after two terrible flights. T missed a nap and didn't go to bed until after 10:00, but of course still thought it was a great idea to get up at 5:30.

Fail

Teresa LOVES bananas. And chocolate. No surprise there. So when we saw some frozen bananas dipped in chocolate at the grocery store, we figured they would be the perfect treat for little T. We didn't buy them the first time we saw them, and then we couldn't find them anywhere for a long time. So when we finally saw them again we snatched them up right away. Then I forgot about them in the freezer for a few days and then finally pulled them out this weekend. We stripped T down to her diaper, since we figured it would be a messy treat. She was pretty excited while I was unwrapping it.
Here's the first bite:

She wasn't too sure about it...

Then things started to take a turn for the worse...

She was pretty sad :(

I'm thinking it was the frozen part she didn't like. She had a hard time even getting a bite. Marc and I tasted it, and I thought it was pretty yucky. Very banana-y. But T decided to give it another shot....

Unfortunately the results were the same the second time around...

It was pretty sad. We gave her a real banana after, and that seemed to make up for it. I think it's safe to say we won't be stocking up on these anytime soon.
