We had Tressa's first birthday party on Saturday. We were a little worried about the weather, but the storms held off until we were done. It was seriously perfect timing, it didn't start raining until we were driving away. We had a little barbecue down on the bay on base. All of Marc's family came, as well as some of his friends from school. Marc grilled hot dogs and chicken kabobs and we swam and kayaked. The place we had her party was so fun, Marc and I will definitely be going back more this summer. Teresa loved playing with her cousins in the water. We didn't try her in a kayak, maybe next time...
Teresa hated her life jacket, but loved the water. We ended up not making her wear it, since we were just in shallow water with her.
Here we are with our one year old! Not T's best picture, but unfortunately for her, she's not the one that chooses the pictures that go on the blog ;)
And, T just woke up from her nap, so I'll have to post the cake and presents part later!

We had so much fun! We didn't have enough time to cook all of the kabobs, but we all had so much fun in the water. I'm pushing T to have another birthday soon so we have an excuse to throw another party!
Marcus, Tara's birthday should totally constitute a big party! I mean, it's not everyday you turn 25!
AND, what a beautiful family picture! Little T looks very cute, and you two look great! N&B are sitting here with me, looking over and over at each picture, in great detail. I'm glad you put up Melissa's family picture, because they were very interested in all of them! They really like little J :) The party looks so fun! Kayaking, swimming, bbq...what more could ya ask for? That's awesome that the cousins, etc. were able to be there. And T's life jacket is hilariously awesome!
Awesome! It looks like a great time was had by all, those kabobs look soooo good. Rob's sitting here drooling over all the food! I love T's cute 1 outfit! and I love your family picture too! Little J is super adorable! Wow, this sounds a little gushy, but what choice do i have... the truth must be told...
