The Week in Review

We had lots of fun this week...we finally decided to branch out in social-ness with our ward, so our upstairs neighbors and us invited another couple over for a barbecue on Tuesday. It was fun, but not very warm, but we at least got some good use out of Marcus' fire pit thing that he built. I only had to work for 5.5 hours this week, thanks to one of the offices I clean relocating, so it was a nice vacation week. Today we went swimming at Salem Pond, which is actually more lake size. We took the dog and went with Bret and Mican, our upstairs neighbors. It was fun, but could have been warmer. The water wasn't too cold, and the sun was nice until some clouds came and made it cold, so we went home. Scout LOVES to have her ball thrown in the water, so she can go retrieve it. However, she thinks it's funny to stand right next to you when she shakes all the water off, we're trying to teach her not too. She is fun to take to the lake, because all the kids that are there love to throw the ball for her. A bunch of little boys were way excited to throw the ball for her to chase, they were cute. Anyway, here are some pictures:

Wow, it looks like such fun having a dog, especially a semi-obedient one like Scout (what's that like???)! She's so cool! Also, this post reminds me of calling home from college all those years ago and talking to you and you'd go on and on with stories about all the pets :) It was so cute! Salem Pond looks fun, hopefully you'll get warmer weather soon.

Amazing that I spend 20 years waiting to get another retriever and M&T beat me to it. Life is just not fair.

So, I read this post before your last one and couldn't figure out why you were so enamored with your neighbor's dog. Aha...she's YOUR dog! Wait till I show the kids. They're going to be so excited! See, they think if you have a pet and you move down here, it can be their pet too...since they have a mean mom and dad and all...

;o)

Wow! Congratulations! How exciting to have a new member of the family :) Scout, I love her name and she sounds so cool. I do have one complaint. Your video keeps saying it's unavailable. So...if you could fix that if it's on your end, which I think it is, I would appreciate it. What a nice trip to the lake, or pond. Rob is jealous. He would love to be there right now.
