T's Birthday Party, part 1

Teresa and her little bff had a joint third birthday party this past weekend. Mina is three at the beginning of May, and Teresa is 3 at the end of May, so the middle of May was the perfect time to do it. We rented a bounce house for the day, and of course the girls and all their friends had a blast with all the bouncing. Marc took 900 + pictures, so it might take me a while to get them all sorted and up here! The bounce house was castle shaped, so we went with a castle-y theme for the party, and the girls picked pink and purple as the colors.

Mina's mom and I had fun getting everything ready for the party - I think I spent more of last week at their house than at mine dealing with the preparations...

Marc's mom found this cute idea for making your own pinata, and it worked out really well, and was way cheaper than a 'real' pinata. I think it turned out really cute!

Instead of hitting it, each child pulls out one of those ribbons, but only one of them will open the little hatch at the bottom and release all the goodies.

We made a castle cake, and the girls were both SO excited about it. T was having such a hard time the whole party, she would come in every few minutes begging to cut the cake.

Fondant princesses:

We definitely had to stop Teresa from licking it a few times...

Nora and her little bf had fun as well:

They are so cute together, they just make each other giggle so much.

Teresa VERY reluctantly posed for a picture with me:

And then all the girls had fun bouncing while they waited for the guests to arrive.

That's Mina's dad, whom T has a big 'ol crush on. When the bounce house was almost set up we called the girls over to look out the window and asked them what they saw. Mina excitedly noticed the bounce house, while Teresa excitedly exclaimed "I see Dru!!". She is not so subtle about her feelings for him ;).

The babies had some trouble staying on their feet for long, but they still loved every minute of it.

I'll leave you with a shot of Nora's cute little bum:

Those are great! Love the "3" spelled out in balloons! What's that stuff in the bowl with the serving spoon? The sandwiches look just right for a lot of little fingers. Did you make the T frosting doll? they are both very cute. Oh the matching braids are great... act as nice crowns for the theme too ... and the shirts are totally cute ... as are the little black skirts (which prob have attached shorts or just black undies?) heeheehee "the small fry" are having a blast too... prob wondering why all this fun doesn't happen every day! Aw, that's a nice pic of Mommy and Teresa! There's lotsa wonderful jumping fun there too ... the one of Mina's hair bouncing with flair is awesome. Good job Marc for taking SO many pictures ... did you put yourself in any? Thanks for sharing ... felt almost like we were there! Love, Mom (Dad too) xox

See, this is what I get for being behind and reading part 2 before part 1! Now I see the little fondant princesses closer up, and they are so cute! I bet you had so much fun getting that party ready! The place is sure decorated wonderfully. I love the 3 made of balloons, too, and the streamers on the ceiling. Seriously, this sorta stuff makes me realize I should step our "parties" up a notch. ;) And I didn't realize y'all had made the pinata! Great job! It looks so good. You look really cute. Your hair got long fast! And T and her crush, haha! I remember Aislinn's friends having a crush on Dad.
