Frozen party

We weren't planning to throw a big party for Teresa's birthday this year, but when her two friends with May birthdays invited us to join up with them for a fun Frozen party we just couldn't pass it up. (As a side note, I seeeeriously owe Nora an awesome birthday party next year! Poor little lass has never had a friend party, and this was T's second).

The party turned out so awesome. Mostly because I have super creative and crafty friends. I kind of felt like dead-weight for most of the party preparations because Finn was being a stinker and would just cry and be devastated if I wasn't holding him.

The main attraction of the night was Queen Elsa! It's safe to say that the girls were over the moon when she showed up. She was so great, and honestly did pretty much all the work of entertaining all the little kiddos that were there. She works for a princess party company up here, but also happens to be one of Amy's friends in real life.

The little ones snacked while they were waiting for the main event to get started.

She started out by crowning the three birthday princesses.

Then they all sat down and she played a cute guessing game with the kids - she would sing a princess song and the kids had to guess which one of her princess friends originally sang it. It was so cute seeing their little arms pop up, eager to answer her.

Nora was totally enchanted by her. Another reason I felt guilty about doing an Elsa party for T - Nora is an even bigger fan of Elsa than Teresa is!

She handed out a ring to each of the kids as they answered her questions, and then she got out a Frozen book and told them her story. All the kids were so cute and helped her sing her big song. After that she passed out some foam crowns and stickers for all the kids to decorate. Nora was kind enough to donate hers to me.

But wait, there's more! After the singing and the story and the crowns she then gave all the kids glitter tattoos! She even had non-glittery ones for the boys, if they wanted.

We had some super delicious snowflake cookies and snowball cake pops for dessert. Too bad no one at the party had any sort of device with which to light those candles. The girls were good sports and pretended to blow them out, instead.

Then she finished off the night taking pictures with all the kids.

First the birthday girls:

Letting it go.

If only we could all be as photogenic as Nora.

Elsa was such a great entertainer, and the kids all just had the best time. I'm so glad we were able to participate! We waited a little too long to book her, so we ended up having the party on a Friday night. The  girls were sooooo tired by the time everyone had left and we were cleaning up, I think they were asleep before we even got them completely buckled in to their car seats.

Aaaaaand here's a bunch of outtakes from when we were setting up for the party.

Finn is so handsome.

I love him!

I love this handsome little dude, too. He and Finn were born only 3ish weeks apart.

Waiting to get all dolled up for the party.

Yes.

We made the girls their Elsa dresses. Well, I only made about half of T's, thanks to the aforementioned stinker baby that wouldn't let me put him down long enough to get it all done.

The girls were more than happy to perform for the camera while they waited for their friends to show up.

I love this picture so much! They are just the cutest friends. (Yesterday we went to get T from their house after school and they had switched clothes and shoes and were pretending to be each other. T would only respond to being called Mina, and kept referring to me a Teresa's mom and stuff. It was pretty cute.)

Those are some lucky girls, getting such an awesome party! I really like the 3 bday girl dresses... they look simple, yet effective! ;) Nora... so cute... I'm sure she didn't care that it wasn't HER party -- she still got Elsa time! The blue jigglers were very eye-catching. They were perfect! Oh, and hilarious that no one brought matches or something for the candles, hahaha!!! I really like the idea of hiring a princess or someone to pretty much run the party...

I agree with Fiona. Nora should be a reason you are glad you agreed to do it. She got to participate too! What cute kiddos. I also think the idea of throwing a party together is genius. Two helpers to do all the work and you don't even have to pay them back. Maybe that is how you can do such an awesome part for Nora.

That was an awesome, amazing party!! Nora looks thrilled to have been a part of it even if it wasn't specifically for her! Finn is so incredibly handsome and adorable. I love how his hair is all thick and lays perfectly on his cute little head. <3
